Rules on Public Transit in Toronto and the GTA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Before owning a dog, I used to think that only service dogs or really small dogs were allowed on public transit systems here in Toronto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But after owning Limone for some time and doing my own research, I\u2019ve come to learn that <strong>most public transit systems in Toronto and the GTA allow companion dogs too &#8211; with some restrictions<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on the region and the service, you face some combination of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Boarding time restrictions (i.e. no companion dogs allowed during weekday rush hours)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enclosed pet crate \/ carrier requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leash requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Muzzle If you&#8217;re wondering whether dogs are allowed on the TTC, then the short answer is yes &#8211; with some restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><th>TTC restrictions?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Dogs must be on a leash or secured in an enclosed container \/ pet carrier<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excluding service animals, <strong>dogs are not allowed on the TTC
